The Chivas Venture is a global competition that gives away $1 million in no-strings funding every year to the hottest social startups from around the world. We have been working with Chivas on this competition since it first launched in 2014 and it continues to get bigger and better each year!
As the global PR agency for the campaign we help to support the 20 markets taking part in 2019; from informative and concise toolkits to help run their local competitions, to creative ideas to help maintain momentum over the year-long campaign. We also activate multiple PR spikes throughout the year to generate PR coverage on a global scale.
The competition culminates in a Global Final which was hosted at the TNW Conference in Amsterdam in 2019. The team were in charge of getting top-tier global media along to the event, including The Guardian, Reuters, Daily Mail and Harper’s Bazaar, as well as managing a further 50+ media who attended from participating markets around the world. The 2019 Global Final saw Zoe Saldana as a guest judge and IT Crowd’s Richard Ayoade as the show’s host.
To date, Chivas Venture finalists have provided over 34 million litres of safe drinking water, recycled over 1,300 tonnes of waste and provided 75,000 days of education for women and girls – to mention just a handful of their many accomplishments.
