Reality Bites: Doritos Launches #NachoYourWay
This summer, Doritos launched its latest competition, #NachoYourWay, inviting the nation to get imaginative with their nachos for a chance to win a £20,000 Grand Prize and £200 daily prizes. Pangolin worked with Doritos to raise awareness for #NachoYourWay by challenging everyone’s favourite bromance, Sam Thompson (Made in Chelsea) and Pete Wicks (The Only Way is Essex) to go head-to-head to recreate the TikTok nacho table trend…but with a saucy twist.
The two stepped up to the plate to create some adventurous recipes using the cult nacho brand’s new range of Dippers nachos and dips products, alongside some wildly unexpected and risqué ingredients.
Pete leaned in on his Masterchef experience and made some controversial yet appetising Full English Breakfast Nachos, a Hotter-Than-Hot-Chili Nachos, as well as Banana Split Nachos as the cherry on top – literally!
Sam, on the other hand, turned himself into a nacho table dressed in lobster and caviar…can’t get more Chelsea than that!
The hilarious video content went live across the reality stars’ Instagram accounts, racking up over 400,000 views and over 13,000 likes. Alongside, Pangolin placed interviews with The Sun and Closer magazine where Sam and Pete discussed their take on the #NachoYourWay.
To amplify the competition further, Pangolin gifted Doritos influencer fans with personalised nacho boxes challenging them to get in on the #NachoYourWay action. From ingredients to create strawberries & cream nachos, to jerk nachos and everything in between, the gift boxes were shared on the Instagram stories of Elz the Witch, Let’s Munch and Mam Sham among others.
