Preparing for greatness with Gatorade
Pangolin was tasked with bringing to life Gatorade’s new equity campaign ‘The Next 90 Minutes’, featuring the newly crowned World Cup winner Lionel Messi, by sending key target journalists and influencers bespoke preparation kits. The campaign centred around Messi’s unique approach to performance, highlighting how confidence is key when approaching mental and physical challenges.
We strategically created media mailers that featured practical items focussing on the various pillars of health and fitness. The kits included a science-backed nutritional handbook developed by the Gatorade Sports Science Institute, a pack of Gatorade Gx Sweat Patches to help recipients analyse sweat profiles, a branded wellness journal, and a limited edition Gatorade Gx Messi Bottle – designed by the certified GOAT himself.
The kits highlighted the overarching campaign message that Gatorade is a partner to performance to support athletes on their journey to greatness. The mailers were distributed alongside the TVC going live to complement and amplify the announcement.
The gifting enabled Pangolin to illustrate the campaign narrative in a visually compelling way and it resulted in an array of outstanding social posts. In total, 14 top tier media and influencers received a gift box, including VERSUS and Daily Star, ensuring that Gatorade remained front of mind as the perfect performance partner.
