Fizz to Life with Pepsi
Pepsi Football is back for another year running and we’re excited to have launched the 2021 ‘Music Keeps Us Fizzig’ campaign, celebrating the brand’s ongoing partnership with the UEFA Champions League. This year, the campaign brought together world-class players Leo Messi, Paul Pogba, Shanice van de Sanden and Jadon Sancho with an exclusive music collaboration between Becky G and Burna Boy – resulting in the ultimate music and football mash-up!
This year’s ad, ‘Fizz To Life’ was directed by filmmaker Rain Allen-Miller who incorporated her quick-fire storytelling style to celebrate the way music keeps players and fans going – even when battling into extra time. With star-studded talent and collaborations across music and football, the team were able to coordinate a range of exclusive press interviews with music, sport and marketing outlets.
The team also launched the #PepsiChallenge which saw Pepsi and the players from the ad team up with TikTok for a worlds first duet challenge that allows fans to go head to head with their favourite players.
The 2021 Pepsi Football campaign has sparked conversation across the globe, including stand out pieces in The Sun, 90 Min, Mail Online and SoccerBible – an epic campaign that we know will keep fizzing across the next year!
