Taking Gin Back To 1842

In July we helped Plymouth Gin launch its first new product for over 12 years – Mr King’s 1842 Recipe.

The new delicious drop is based on a 170 year old recipe that was found deep in Plymouth’s archives – the oldest gin distillery in England. The reimagined recipe from 1842 was specially hand crafted by Plymouth’s master distiller Sean Harrison to delicately combine only two ingredients – orris root and handpicked juniper from a single harvest day in the mountains of Frontignano, Italy. Due to the hyper-local sourcing of the ingredients, Mr King’s 1842 Recipe is a one of kind gin that holds a truly unique flavour that cannot ever be reproduced.

After multiple tasting evenings with journalists and influencers (someone has to do it!), our team launched the product securing a wealth of coverage in mainstream media titles generating stand out coverage in Forbes, FT How To Spend It and Business Insider.
